FAQ's
The Hawkers Vintage Collection explores some of the world’s most complex and age-worthy beer styles, including Stout, White Stout, Imperial Stout, Barleywine, Black Barleywine, Porter and other specialty releases. Each beer showcases a different approach to flavour, from rich roasted malt and chocolate through to warming caramel, dried fruit and barrel-aged complexity.
Stout is a dark beer style known for roasted malt flavours of coffee, chocolate and cocoa, often with a smooth, full-bodied character. Porter is another dark beer style, typically showcasing softer roasted flavours with notes of chocolate, caramel and toasted malt. Barleywine is a strong ale known for rich malt character, higher alcohol, and flavours of caramel, toffee, dried fruit and warming sweetness. Black Barleywine combines the intensity and strength of a traditional Barleywine with the deeper roasted complexity of a dark beer, creating layers of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and malt richness.
Many Hawkers Vintage releases are brewed with ageing in mind, developing greater depth and complexity over time. Strong beers like Imperial Stouts, Barleywines and barrel-aged releases can evolve in flavour as they mature, revealing new layers of chocolate, caramel, oak, vanilla and dried fruit.
