Four Seasons is a beer series like few others and sees Hawkers take the same ingredients and tweak them to create weather-appropriate beers. Well, the recipe changes are less a “tweak” and more like rebuilding your kitchen, given winter brought us a surprisingly drinkable 10 percent West Coast, Spring was a double hazy and Summer brings us back to West Coast territory but with a more manageable 6.0 percent. However, the bones and the artwork from Sad Skelly remain, as too do the Citra, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin and Cascade hops.
Fittingly, the beer was designed to enjoy to suit long days by the barbecue, water or afternoons where you can't work out if it's Monday or Thursday, with the bright and crystal clear creation, incredibly dry and providing an assertive and refreshing bitterness. On the hop font, it's a journey of classic grapefuit rind, floral and herbal tones with the slightest tropical fruit.
