Ahead of International Women's Day 2026, the women of Hawkers Beer – Jacqui and Kelly – joined forces to create a one-off beer to mark the day and raise funds for good causes along the way. And before we get to what the liquid is like – as well as acknowledging what a great name Reservoir Dolls is for such a release – here's what the duo had to say...
"In celebration of women everywhere for International Women’s Day 2026, we came together and took the brewing reins for a release that’s close to home. From concept to recipe to creation, we were hands-on every step of the way, shaping something that truly represents us – the Reservoir Dolls – in a can of beer.
"This refreshing IPA was hopped with the 9th annual Pink Boots Society hop blend from Yakima Chief which includes Mosaic, Centennial, HBC 638 and Ekuanot, with a slice of proceeds going to education and career opportunities for women in beer.
"Plus, we’re donating $1,000 to Share the Dignity to help tackle period poverty and get essential items into the hands of women and girls who need them.
"For us, this beer is about proving that women can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone in this industry, do the work, own the craft and do it damn well.
"Bottoms up!"
Given the above, it arguably shouldn't matter what the beer is like, but Reservoir Dolls is a cracker of a session IPA with a mighty feisty presence for a 4 percent ABV beer. Aromatically and texturally, it gives the impression it’s laced with heaps of hop oils, thus acting as a great showcase for the PBS blend. I picked up citrus, berries, melon, a touch of light spice, and a tickle of resin in the bitterness.
So whether you're after a sessionable ABV with real punch, want to raise a glass to women everywhere, like to do good while drinking good, or just love a play on words, the Reservoir Dolls are waiting.
