All keg purchases require an additional $150 refundable keg deposit. If you're purchasing a keg and swapping an empty one at the same time, your deposit can simply be rolled over onto the new keg.

Simply return your empty keg to Hawkers Brewery and we'll refund your $150 keg deposit. Empty kegs must be returned to receive the deposit refund.

No. Due to their size and weight, kegs are available for in-store pickup only from Hawkers Brewery. Unfortunately, we can't ship kegs.

To serve beer from a Hawkers keg you'll need a compatible keg dispensing system, including a coupler, gas, regulator and tap. If you're unsure what equipment you need, get in touch and we'll point you in the right direction.

All Hawkers kegs are compatible with A-type (German Slider) keg couplers. If you're hiring dispensing equipment, simply let the hire company know you'll be pouring a Hawkers keg so they can supply the correct coupler. If you're unsure whether your setup is compatible, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.

Once connected to a dispensing system using CO₂, a keg will generally stay fresh for several weeks. Unopened kegs should be stored cold and consumed before their best-before date for optimal flavour.

A standard 50L keg pours approximately 117 schooners (425mL), while a 30L keg pours approximately 70 schooners, depending on pouring losses and foam.

Yes! Hawkers kegs are available for private parties, weddings, birthdays, functions and other events. Simply order online and collect from the brewery.
